Biography

James is Deputy Chief Librarian, and Historical Cultural and Social Sciences Librarian. He supports several areas of Library operations, including Resources Support for Teaching. He is a research librarian with many years of public services experience in academic librarianship, primarily in reference and information services, as well as in web/electronic resources, special/branch libraries, and access services.

For several years he has served as a subject specialist for numerous social science disciplines listed below and has previous experience in business, sociology, urban studies, and other subjects. He serves as a library faculty advisor to students in the Honors in the Social Sciences program. He is also currently Adjunct Faculty in QC’s Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, and previously in QC’s History department.
